The H - how
How will e-learning be physically delivered?
What is the choice of software/media and why?
The designer should consider how e-learning material will be physically delivered; computer and hand-held devices are two options. Hardware and software/media should be compatible; if delivered by computer, the operating system must support the software/media chosen. It should further be considered whether the learner has access to, and is familiar with and competent using, the chosen software/media. Time spent learning how to use e-learning can reduce efficiency of learning; it can also detract learners from the content of e-learning and process of gaining knowledge. It is clear that the method of delivering e-learning and its accessibility have important implications for usability. | ![]() |
