ALPS Mobile Learning Network - increase opportunities for collaboration on and research of mobile learning

Building on the previous work of ALPS Mobile technologies implementation project this network has focussed on the establishment of a collaborative group of both academics and technologists to discuss, create and review emerging mobile technology enhanced learning. It has explored the use of hackathons as a forum to create mobile learning apps. Where those that need the technology and those who create the technology come together to rapidly prototype and develop apps; reflecting the current market pace of change and development.

The network is also exploring potential opporotunities for funding to continue cross-institution collaboration. They currently have a wiki for further development of ideas and sharing of good practice. To get access to this or discuss funding opportunities please contact the network lead.
