The key aspects of usability

We have identified effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction of a learner's ability to learn and gain knowledge in the definition of usability in relation to e-learning. But what do these 3 terms mean?

To design effective e-learning materials that facilitate efficient learning and lead to satisfaction, three factors should be considered (figure 1):
  • The target population (the learners) for the e-learning material and context in which e-learning will be used.

  • The technological aspects of the design of the e-learning material

  • The content of the e-learning material
