- Provide training for all sessions. Briefing - address patient/carer expectations: Q&A, a clear explanation of learning outcomes for the learner, who the audience are, setting. Debriefing session afterwards
- Lots of positive feedback where it's due, to increase confidence, with analysis as to why
- Peer appraisal - where possible, patients to observe each other's work and learn from it
